A genset with a nominal power output of 15kW (100%) supplies a load of 10kW (66%) the efficiency of the genset equals 24%.

This is the benchmark for the fuel consumption from the gensets data sheet. Mostly the load is way less. At 3kW (20%) the efficiency of the genset equals 13% only. So you burn way more fuel in relation to the power it produces.


With a battery storage system you can fill this gap and safe fuel by storing unused power. This allows you to switch off the genset when the battery is fully charged to save 30% of your fuel costs.

On your compound or the roof of your facility you can run solar power to reduce or even avoid the runtime of a diesel generator.
